Although many kinds of fruits are seen during summer, excessive heat is the main cause of unrest. Disease is the means of happiness. Being aware and careful will lead to liberation. Discomfort in public life is increasing with heat. In this condition, it has become difficult to go out during the day. Everyone is sick of excessive heat. The weather office says the heat may increase further.
Besides suffering from discomfort in the heat, many people are also getting sick. Problems like diarrhea and vomiting persist. Extreme heatwaves increase the risk of several other diseases.
Since the beginning of the summer season, ‘heat wave’ has become the most feared issue. The risk of diseases that are increasing in this heat wave.
Heat Syncope: When going out in the hot sun, some physical problems like dizziness, dark eyes, etc. occur. These are called ‘heat syncope’. This can happen even if you are around fire for a long time. In this case, it is necessary to take a bath in cold water immediately. Or it is better to wipe the body with ice water. Must drink more water. Otherwise it can happen anytime.
Heat tetany: Hands and feet often bend during intense heat wave. Numbness in hands and feet goes away. To fold arms and legs also needs to gain momentum. Such a problem is called ‘heat tetany’. In this case, it is important to rest first. It is also good to massage your hands and feet. If you take enough rest and drink plenty of water, you can slowly recover.
Heat Cramps: Heat cramps can be caused by physical exertion or prolonged exercise in hot weather. In this case, the shoulder, neck and thigh muscles are tense. However, drinking more water can provide relief. But eating saline instead of just drinking water is more beneficial. At the same time, taking rest and avoiding the sun will reduce the tension.
Heat stroke: The risk of heat stroke is highest during summer. After this stroke, the body becomes very dry. The skin becomes dry. The inner part of the body becomes warm. But hands and feet are cold. Heart rate slows down. Difficulty breathing. Seizures may occur in some cases. Incorrect speech or temporary mental imbalance are also signs of heat stroke. In this case, the patient should be taken to the hospital after taking a good bath.
Heat edema: Many people get swollen hands and feet in summer. In medical terms that is called ‘heat edema’. Many people do. Especially the feet swell more. Sometimes the hands and feet swell together. There is no specific medicine for this disease. Resting, drinking plenty of water and elevating your legs on a high pillow can help you recover faster.
Fever: A fever is a higher than normal body temperature (98 degrees Fahrenheit). However, fever is not a disease, it is a symptom of an illness or infection in the body, ie fever is a symptom of disease. Fever can be caused by various reasons. Such as viral infections such as influenza, dengue, chikungunya, measles and chicken pox. Fever can also be caused by typhoid, malaria, pneumonia and urinary tract infections. However, the incidence of viral fever is usually very high at this time.
Symptoms of viral fever: Sneezing, coughing, runny nose, red eyes, pain in the whole body and hands and feet, headache, aversion to food, taste in the mouth; Nausea and vomiting, skin rash, elevated body temperature, chills and fever with chills. High fever in children can sometimes lead to convulsions. Paracetamol should be administered first to reduce fever. Antibiotics are not effective in viral fever. A little more caution should be taken in case of fever in children.
In case of fever, sponging with lukewarm water should be done first. It is not good to use very cold water. If the entire body is gently wiped with a soft cloth or towel soaked in lukewarm water, the body temperature will decrease and the affected patient will feel better. Water should be given to the head. Place the patient under fan ventilation. Paracetamol syrup/tablet should be given as per dose to reduce fever and pain. Paracetamol rectal suppositories should be used in case of high fever (103°F) or if oral intake is not possible. Food Saline, fruit juice, syrup etc. liquid food should be fed more. Other normal meals will continue as usual. All normal foods should be eaten in sufficient quantity. But liquid food must be given more. It is good to eat sour fruits such as grapefruit, amra, orange, lemon etc.
If the fever does not subside within three days or other accompanying symptoms occur, a doctor should be consulted. In particular, shortness of breath, convulsions, excessive vomiting, loose stools and skin rash should be consulted immediately. If necessary, take it to the nearest hospital or health center.
Diarrhea: Diarrhea is common during summer. Excessive loose stools at least three times a day or more is called diarrhea. But if normal bowel movements are three times or more, it is not diarrhoea. Babies who are breastfed also have frequent soft stools, which are also not diarrhoea. Diarrhea contains more water than stool. If the stool is mixed with blood, it is dysentery.
Due to diarrhea, a lot of water and mineral salts are removed from the body. Then there is water shortage or dehydration. It should be remembered that the child should not suffer from dehydration. Therefore, if he has diarrhea, he should be fed saline frequently. Check whether his urine volume is normal. Young children should not be weaned under any circumstances. Babies above six months should be given water and other food along with mother’s milk. At the same time he should be given liquid food. This rule should be followed until the child’s stool is normal. Apart from this, if blood goes with the child’s stool, then without neglecting it must consult a specialist.
Sweating: Children sweat excessively in summer. Because of this, the child may have a cold in the chest, cold and cough, and even pneumonia and breathing problems. Apart from this, excessive sweating removes water and salt from the baby’s body. As a result, the child becomes dehydrated. Therefore, if the child sweats, he should immediately wipe his body and change his clothes. Children should be bathed regularly in summer. Body and environment should be kept clean. At this time, the child needs to be fed plenty of water and fluids.
Cold and Pneumonia: In summer, the problem of cold is more common in children. Excessive sweating in hot weather can lead to inflammation of the respiratory system and pneumonia in colds. Symptoms of respiratory tract infections and pneumonia in children may be non-specific in many cases. Some common symptoms of a respiratory infection in a baby are fever, rapid heavy and frequent breathing, wheezing, chest tightness or chest tightness, inability to eat or difficulty feeding, weakness, fatigue or shivering.
Scratching: At this time, the baby’s body tends to scratch. So the child should be bathed daily and wear clean cotton clothes. If you sweat, you should quickly wipe your body and change your clothes. Baby-friendly powder should be used in place of scratches. Before applying the powder, wipe the baby’s body with a soft wet cloth. It is better not to keep the baby in diapers for a long time in summer. Sometimes diapers can cause skin rashes. So care should be taken not to wear wet diapers for a long time. If the diaper is damaged, remove it immediately and put on a new diaper.
Scratching is the biggest problem of heat. But many people don’t give that much importance. Many people use powder to reduce scratches. It does the opposite. The powder causes the sweat glands to become infected. Then you have to run to the doctor. But if you are aware of the matter in advance, there is no chance of exaggeration.
Now very hot! Children are the first victims of high temperatures. Children are very sensitive, so summer becomes more difficult and unbearable for children than other times. Children are often unable to adapt to rapid changes in weather like adults. In summer, various physical ailments including fever, upset stomach, cold, cough occur. Apart from this, various infections caused by viruses, various inflammations of the respiratory system can suffer from pneumonia. During this time other infectious diseases are also more common. There is a risk of dehydration and sudden fainting in extreme heat. And that’s why children need extra care in summer.
Sudden Fainting: Extreme heat can cause heat stroke or dizziness. The child may also faint suddenly. Severe dehydration, low blood sugar, or low blood pressure may cause the child to faint. In this situation, some immediate steps should be taken without panicking. First of all, the patient should lie down. If possible, it should be tilted to one side, so that saliva can come out. After sleeping, both feet should be kept 12 inches above the head, so that the blood supply and circulation to the brain is correct and increased. Loosen or loosen tight clothing, especially around the chest, neck and waist. Keeping something high under the neck, the head should be lowered and the muzzle should be kept up, so that breathing movement is not obstructed. If consciousness does not return within 3 minutes, get to the nearest medical facility as soon as possible.
Essential advice:
1. Newborn babies should always be covered to keep the body warm. But be careful not to sweat.
2. During summer, the prevalence of insects such as mosquitoes, flies, ants etc. increases. These can cause illness in the baby. The house should be kept free from insects.
3. In summer, the baby should be bathed regularly and kept away from dust as much as possible.
4. When going out, clean drinking water should always be kept with the baby.
5. The skin should be kept clean, so as not to have rash-like problems.
6. Drink plenty of water to keep urine volume normal.
7. A lot of seasonal fruits are available during summer. Let the child eat seasonal fruits. You can juice it. It will meet the baby’s vitamin needs and the baby’s nutrition will also be fulfilled and immunity will also increase.

9. As much as possible, the child should eat freshly prepared food and fresh fruits.
During this time, various workplaces including educational institutions have to be closed for summer. Among them, death is again holding a press conference around.
In summer, there is an outbreak of various diseases.
In summer, the amount of sweat in the body increases. We know that body temperature is usually regulated by sweating.
But when temperature and humidity changes due to the surrounding environment, problems arise in this control system.
Temperature and humidity increase during summer.
As a result, this increase in temperature and humidity affects the important organs of the body including blood circulation, kidneys. As a result, various diseases appear in the body.
Various skin problems can occur in summer. If excess sweat dries up the body, prolonged exposure to dust and unhygienic environment can cause skin problems. Commonly during this time there are rashes, summer boils (small red pimple-like lumps, from which pus may form), water voids etc.
Drink more water to fight these diseases. Drinking water with other beverages, such as bottled water, fruit juice, can also be beneficial.
However, it is best to consume fresh fruit juice instead of packaged juices. In addition, daily bathing should be done, if possible with soap, which will remove dirt and germs accumulated on the skin. Non-medicated talcum powder can be used on the body for scratching. Rubbing ice on summer boils can be beneficial. However, if there is pus, cream should be applied according to the doctor’s advice or medicine should be given. Besides, before going out in the sun, if possible, sunscreen lotion should be applied to the exposed part of the body. Hand fan, small handkerchief, water bottle, umbrella, if you keep these tools with you, you will get some benefit.
Outbreaks of water-borne diseases also occur in summer. Demand for water increases due to heat. To meet the demand, people collect water from various unsanitary sources. Moreover, in order to quench thirst during summer, people buy sugarcane juice, mango juice, watermelon juice, raw mango juice, ice cream, cucumber, sherbet etc. Due to this, various types of diseases occur.
Diarrhea, typhoid fever, hepatitis B, liver infection or jaundice, stomach inflammation etc. are notable among the diseases in summer. In order to be safe from these diseases, one should refrain from collecting and drinking water from unsafe sources.
If you are thirsty for water on the street, you should buy bottled water from a good company and drink it, but cucumber, papaya, watermelon, sugarcane juice, syrup etc. sold on the side of the road should not be consumed. The water in which the fruits are washed is usually not hygienic.
Besides, you have to be careful while drinking tea in the shop. Because the water in which the tea is made may not be pure. Many people think that heating water kills germs. But the fact is, most germs don’t die unless the water is kept on fire for at least 30 minutes after it starts boiling. Ursaline and glucose should be taken if necessary to fill the lack of water and mineral salts in the body. To avoid stomach inflammation, you should avoid stale, oily food and eating in hotels.
Another plague of summer is mosquitoes. Aedes and Anopheles mosquitoes spread the disease during summer. This can result in diseases like dengue fever and malaria. To prevent mosquitoes, the sink and drain around the house should be kept clean. Mosquito nets, mosquito coils and insect sprays should be used. As soon as fever appears, wait at least three days without taking antibiotics and then take medicine. Although many people take antibiotics without waiting, it is not right. Some people take the antibiotics given to them by thinking that the workers or pharmacists sitting in the pharmacy are doctors. Antibiotics should never be taken without the advice of a registered doctor. To keep the fever down, no medicine other than paracetamol can be taken at this time.
Viruses also cause illness in summer. Diseases such as viral fever or virus fever, measles etc. occur in summer. Viral fever usually causes muscle aches and chills. There is no need to take antibiotics if such symptoms occur. Because antibiotics cannot work against viruses.
If you are suffering from viral fever, you should drink enough water. In any fever, water deficiency occurs in the body. Besides, the body can be sponged to reduce fever. Measles sufferers should rest for at least a week.
Excessive sweating in summer can cause dehydration in the body. As a result, anemia, weakness, muscle pain, lethargy, stomach ache, dizziness etc. can occur in the body. That is why you cannot work in high temperature or in the sun for a long time. Apart from this, heavy work and physical exertion should also be avoided if there is no habit. Besides, more water and other liquid foods should be consumed more.
Heat stroke can occur in summer. If the body temperature suddenly exceeds 40 degrees Celsius or 103 degrees Fahrenheit, the body suddenly loses its ability to regulate temperature. During this time the skin becomes dry, the pulse increases, severe headache occurs, nausea occurs. Sometimes the patient becomes unconscious. If affected by this disease, the patient should ventilate in a shaded area. Pour water on the head or wipe the body with a wet cloth. However, a heat stroke patient should not be given water or any other food immediately.
In summer, children are usually more affected than adults. Therefore, they should be extra careful during summer.
It should be noted whether the child’s eyes are sunken in, whether the child is urinating less, or if the stool is more frequent. Any of these symptoms should be taken to the doctor immediately. During this time, children mainly suffer from dehydration and diarrhea.
To keep babies healthy from this disease, breastfed babies should be fed frequently. There is no need to give extra milk or water separately. Children should be kept in ventilated rooms with fans. However, it cannot be kept in a place where there is more wind directly on the body. Also, children should not be taken out in the hot sun. If you are suffering from dehydration and dehydration, you should immediately see a doctor along with giving saline and liquid food.
